First mosque in Ivory coast

This old mosque is the symbol of Islam in Ivory coast.

Samory Toure built it as thefirsth mosq weue in the country.

It's located in the north of the country in the town of Kong.

Today it's still a mosque but a tourist attraction .Samory Toure's mosque

This is such an interesting mosque, what material is it made of? It looks like a sand castle. 🙂

You are right and the particularity of this building is that the sand come from termite building.

This is the only one I kept with me.
