The Rock Garden is the pride of CITY BEAUTIFUL Chandigarh (INDIA). It is basically a sculpture garden that was founded by Sh Nek Chand. It was started secretly by its founder during his spare times in 1957. The material that is used for its built up is home as well as industrial waste and other items those were simply thrown-away. In 1976, the park was opened for the public. As per one estimate, it is being visited by 5000 visitors daily. Today it covers an area of approx. 40 Acres. The Rock Garden is simply beautiful and a must visit for everyone who comes to Chandigarh or nearby.
