Come interessante che questo fungo Steccherino Bruno (Sarcodon imbricatus) può essere utilizzato per aggiungere un sapore di funghi, senza pezzi di funghi veri.
Voglio assaggiare qualche ora!

Dopo tutte le conversazioni di ieri circa i funghi, quando siamo andati a cena la scorsa notte, ho ordinato come antipasto, un tartufo nero crostata con mascarpone. E 'stato così delizioso. Il mio pollo aveva anche tartufo nero alla griglia sotto la sua pelle!

Here I share one of our favorite mushrooms served in some of our favorite New York City restaurants.
I did not take this photo. I have never seen this mushroom in the wild.
We see it on menus as the hen-of-the-woods mushroom. I just learned it is a maitake type. It is quite nice to eat.
My favorite mushroom, grilled in a panini, is a portobello. I did not know that portobello is the mature form of the crimini.
So much to learn!

Thank you for those photos. In The second photo that mushroom looks like it has cocoa powder in its middle there!
The third photo makes me think of a soft bread roll 🙂 Something I adore with a bit of butter and a cup of tea.
The mushrooms in your fourth photo look like meringues.

Something else I just learned.
There are mushroom festivals! Festivals about hunting mushrooms, cooking and eating mushrooms!
Here in the US apparently there are mushroom festivals in Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Colorado, and a few other states. None in New York that I can find.

Ciao @MarieP, in Italia il primo posto assoluto nella ricerca dei funghi spetta al Boletus Edulis, meglio conosciuto come Porcino.
Eccone alcuni esemplari, trovati nel corso degli anni
Quando riusciamo a trovare un Porcino veramente fresco, ci piace mangiarlo così:
Crudo, tagliato sottile, condito con un filo di olio di oliva. Buonissimo
