Hi @Zeds, you can believe it or not: following this topic I realized just now that I live at 20 Km from a town made by bridges. So I also realized that I'm becoming old 🙂

I didn't see any big bridges let alone little bridges when I was young.We lived in the outer poor burbs in Australia in the 60's......mostly flat terrain and no rivers or creeks to speak of......hence no need for bridges.Nearly all bridges I find fascinating to different degrees...bridges very seldom get demolished because the structural engineering techniques which designed and built them have passed the test of time.
