"Acueducto de Querétaro"
Legend has it that when the Marquis first saw Sister Marcela, the love between them arose immediately. But because of the delicate situation, first because Sister Marcela was a nun and second because she was his wife's niece, they could never have realized their love for what they came to an agreement: The covenant of love was as follows: She offered him his Love based on mutual understanding, but above all full of purity, asking in return "only" to build the now majestic Aqueduct to lead the water to the convent of the Capuchins. The story behind one of the most important aqueducts in the world, has only one reason: The love between a Basque in love and a nun. This is the legend of the Marquis of the Villa del Villar del Águila and one of the most beautiful Capuchin nuns of the time, Sr. Marcela.
There are 74 arches and it's the most important monument in my city, according to the legend, it was a love story.
