Thanks for sharing this article.

From my album, at a Sweet Shop in in the state of Odisha, India, taken some years ago...

Item: Paneer Cake (Odisha is the home of this particular food, they made the recipe first and later it spread all over India. Not sure if this item is available outside India)

The interacting with food tip is so so so valuable and really struck me - I usually take photos before but never think about how I could perhaps add that type of element to the foods I feature. Love this, @AnnaDickson.

Rif.: Why you should play with your food

Hi @AnnaDickson and EveryOne.
Really beautiful this post.
Very fun, but serious and useful to understand better.
Photographing the food according to me combines two passions:
Food and photography.
Finding balance is, as in all things, the greatest aspiration.
Finding the right way, being personal and dynamic.
Each of us in this month is surely looking for the best way to vent their passions in the most extroverted way.
I think it's a good thing. Passion and desire to get involved.

Hugs to all. Gabriele.

Re: Why you should play with your food

Many thanks for the share of food tips! I haven't really been the type to 'play around' with my food, mostly I just take a quick overhead snap after it's been served to me, taking no longer than a minute before digging into the readily-prepared hot food. Lighting is always the biggest factor too, but now so is the tilt-shift camera feature hehe!

The only type of breakfast I eat (well, drink technically) is an Up & Go Choc Ice Energize. I can't really play around with that. Or... can I? Nah, probably not. So this week shall be skipped for now hehe.
