I had an interesting experience a couple of month ago.
I was shopping in one of the grocery stores next to my work and was surprised by the size and color of the place.
So I decided to take some photos and try to catch that feeling.
Wondering through the store I used my cell phone to take the pictures and uploaded to maps.
I completely forgot about it until I got a mail saying that one of my photos is making a significant amount of views
And than it happened again... and again.
This specific photo became my most viewed ever, and I couldn't understand why.
It was not a special location and nothing about it seems exceptional.
Here, you can take a look: this is the photo
But when I thought about it a little and looked at all of the photos I took that day I noticed something.
You can take a look here: are all the photos from that day.
You can clearly see some guide lines.
I'll make it even easier, here are the numbers:
Several elements to notice in the most viewed photo as opposed to the others:
But most of all, I see a story, a moment captured with something happening.
It's subtle and it's small but our mind immediately goes there and tries to unravel the secret behind it.
It happened by accident and it completely went unnoticed at first.
but I think I know what makes a good photo now.

I agree with you, context is very important. But also don't forget COMPOSITION, that were good in your photos with wide angle

I agree,
I think the point I was trying to make is that as a non-professional photographer
The story is something anyone can find using his imagination and good eye.
