Using the long days to capture pictures of city streets with less cars obstructing the views

I'm from a small-ish town that is mostly shut down by 8 pm. Sometimes this is unfortunate, when I want to take advantage of the long days and go out. But, I realized a hidden bonus....I can take pictures of storefronts without cars obstructing the fronts of the buildings, and the light is perfect. 

 

I've been going on walks a few times a week to take advantage of this time, and I'm loving the effects. 

 

Have you been using the longer days to get better pictures as well?
