New: Add photos of natural features to Google Maps

Remember the amazing photos you took last time you hiked in the mountains or went fishing at sunset? You can now add those images to Google Maps!

The Google Maps for Android app* now enables you to upload pictures to places in the natural features categories like mountains, islands, rivers, and more.

To add a picture to a natural feature you’ve recently visited and photographed:

• Make sure you have the latest version of the Google Maps app for Android
• Select a natural feature (e.g., Loch Ness)
• Scroll down and select Add Photos
• Add any photos you’ve taken

*This feature is not yet available on desktop or iOS.
