Hi @SafalMuhammed

Re: Capturing 360° Photos using Android

Hi @SafalMuhammed

Main tip - try to keep in exactly same place (in all 3 dimensions) the lens of your device during all rotations, especially during taking a nadir shots.

First try to "close" a main circle panorama around your body, follow the dots.

Be aware of moving people/vehicles and your legs (during nadir shots).

Try some test photos in some quiet open spaces without people.

Jacek

There are so many apps to capture 360 photos, I prefer the google street-view app and it is the better one. Below link explains how to use street-view. Below video is a demo of street-view app

Re: Capturing 360° Photos using Android

@SafalMuhammed
Creating spherical-panoramas using a smartphone is definitely an acquired skill, however I see a lot of photographers here in the group who have become VERY proficient at creating quality spheres with a smartphone and the Google Street View app.

The MAIN still is learning to keep the phone lens close to the nodal point.    the most easy and inexpensive tool for that is to push a stick into the ground.. OR use a string or your headphones as a virtual post and hold the camera lens close to that point.

I made  a short video for you explaining how it works,  check it out here from YouTube   https://youtu.be/-9Qq0d4TrwY

  Hope this helps

Re: Capturing 360° Photos using Android

Hello to everyone,

Thanks all for the great tips and especially @BoLorentzen and @JacekNK!

@BoLorentzen, I saw your video, and so much of it made sense about the stitching. The panos I try to make with my phone are horrendous. They are so ugly that Google Maps does not want to accept them! I will try the headphones hack and get back to this topic with the outcome!

Best regards,

Georges

LOL @GeorgesHR   I did not think it was possible to get a spherical shot rejected 🙂

The closer you are to nodal point, the better the stitch become,
to show you how good a smartphone can do a sphere. This was shot in the yard a while back with the smartphone using a simple 3D printed smartphone multi-level bracket https://kuula.co/post/7lHX4

PS. Sorry for the poor audio in that video,  I was laughing at myself, I shoot professionally video, but could not find a single charged camera in the office, and ended up with a Panasonic action camera with crud microphones..
