New: notifications when a business owner responds

Whether you give a restaurant five stars or suggest some ways a store can improve, it’d be helpful to know if the business owner responds to your review.

 

Now, you finally can. Google recently launched a new feature that allows you to receive notifications when a business owner replies to the reviews you’ve left on Google Maps.

 

Just five minutes after the business posts its response, you’ll get an email informing you of the reply as well as a link to read it in full. There are also plans to release push notifications on mobile at a later date.

It is a truly great way to inform the publisher of the review that your comments  has been taken seriously and we do review your comments to improve of her business practice or doctors office.

What I see now is just a one-way communication from the Business owner.

Hi Mrs. @AriMar

This is great. I think that tool will open another paradigma since now, for all parts involved on this context. 

It will be very profitable for Local Guides as they will know the reason or explanations related to some critics made.

It will be very important to owerns as their chance to manifest.

It Will be very important to Google Maps' users because this is a democratic action and everybody gains on Democracy.

This is working great. Just had a business owner reply and got both notifications. E mail and notification.

I am so thrilled about this! With all the attention that goes into reviews, when a business owner responds, especially when they are asking for followup, it is so important for their response not to go ignored! They are taking the time to answer our queries, concerns and comments. The number of times I have scrolled back to an old review to modify or add to it and found that a business owner has attempted to solve an issue, but their attention went unresponded has made me sad. This is an absolutely wonderful update!

Awesome feature. Local guides  reviews really helps business owners and now they respond us to our reviews too. It's beneficial for us too in someway. Thanks @AriMar

I think the push notification feature is a great idea. I had no idea about the mail feature since I got too many mails coming in every day and thought I always had to check back on my reviews to see if it was commented.

Nice! It's just fair that they can respond. It's now more interactive. Yay! 🙂

It'sa very good future but some business owners they don't care  about a good review of the there business they just care about bad reviews,  because it affects there business  , i saw a lot of business owners crying for bad reviews , even for one star i gave them they want to eat us , but for a 5 stars they stay normal let's see if something will be change with that great Google future.

the reply from business owner should be notified to the reviewers mail and notification must be alerted.

Generally we can never ask the owner for the changes desired. They may not go through the comment written in their books.

Now the comments are open, which can be watched worldwide. So it has been their responsibility.

Ehm, I'm non sure everybody understood what hadhbeen changed. Previously you'd have left an opinion, and the owner of the business was able to respond, if only he felt like it, BUT you would NOT get informed about it unless you checked your opinion yourself! The only thing that this update is about is the fact that now we get notifications when our opinions get responses! And I would like to once again express the fact that I do like it!

If a business owner re-replies to old reviews, that they did previously respond to.  Will reviewer receive notification?

What else , we follow certain decorum , will it be same ? Who will be the receiving end the specific LG or all of us or any one can post subsequent reply ?

feed backs from customers are the cornerstone to every bussness,while majority will take it positively   reply and act athers may feel there is some

conflict of interest. mostly when the comment is a negative one,but what is most important is  the true feeling of the customer have been expressed and getting 

feed back from owners  builds that customer bussiness relationship and leaves customer satisfied.for a repeat bussiness.

 

That was a good idea am for it.

When we are making recommedations for improvements to a business owner; should these recommendations be made private or public?

 

For example, I recently went back to a casual but relatively high end restaurant in Jersey and ordered little neck clams. Every thing looked appetizing, the presentation, the sauces had a nice delicate aroma, the clams were very fresh except when I started to eat them... they were not properly shocked and the shells were broken.  Fresh as they were, they could not be enjoyed.

 

 I saw the owner and I told him. He did not even blink.

 

I thought I might include a recommendation or taking a star away.  I have not decided yet...

 

It is hard for restaurants to find well trained honest personnel who understand preparation and etiquete.
