New: notifications when a business owner responds

Whether you give a restaurant five stars or suggest some ways a store can improve, it’d be helpful to know if the business owner responds to your review.

 

Now, you finally can. Google recently launched a new feature that allows you to receive notifications when a business owner replies to the reviews you’ve left on Google Maps.

 

Just five minutes after the business posts its response, you’ll get an email informing you of the reply as well as a link to read it in full. There are also plans to release push notifications on mobile at a later date.

So that the reviewers will get the email whenever they left 5-star review, that means also they will not get any emails if they leave 1, 2, 3, 4-star review?

Hi @ThanhLan , What  Arimar is saying be it 5stars, 1star, 2stars, 3stars, or 4stars when the business owner replies to your review, you will get the notification when the business owner replies, it doesn't matter on the type of rating you gave the business, that will not affect the notification. They would get the notification for all types of reviews or ratings be it positive or negative.  When local guides leave a review of a business, the business owner would be notified too by email as well and they will also be able to reply to customers review.

very nice add  @AriMar , this will make it easier for business owner to communicate with there happy and not happy customers and can imporve there businesses , and its good for us also as a customers before being a local guides :) i like this feature :)

This is a feature that I have been waited! There has been so much improvement to the Google Maps in just a couple of years that now I feel it's not even same app anymore, and that's a good thing!

Thanks for sharing this NEW feature,  @AriMar! Definitely, something to look forward to! :) What do you know? I just got one such notification a few hours ago with a review I posted yesterday. And yeeessss  - I got to read the response in full with an e-mail, too! Resto owner was so appreciative!  Pretty cool! :) Cheers!

This is a good news because it is all about ending and not the begining. Very good idea for mostly all local guides, it is giving us the window into the business owners's heart, soul and minds.

Brilliant idea, however, some stablishment are not sport to the reviews I had one here to Bangkok Thailand they dont like any credibility from any one vice versa reputation is essential to both parties. But you can't give them an adjectives all the time. How is this matter? Any protection to local guide side?

It's a very good features added to Google Maps. When I had posted a reviews and photos of Novatel Hotel, his owner had responded me and thanks for that and invite for dinner also.
