Gobble up Google Maps with Ms. Pac-Man

In celebration of the last day of International Women’s Month and everyone’s favorite prank day, Google unleashed Ms. Pac-Man and her girl power on Google Maps for April Fools’ Day this year. If you missed it, you can click the pink Ms. Pac-Man on the Google Maps for mobile app and it transports you to a game level for you to play Ms. Pac-Man.

Continuing the fun, we curated some of Google’s past April Fools’ pranks. Which have been your favorites over the years? Share them in the comments below.

1) Disco Dancing Pegman - 2016

Pegman, dressed up in new '70s attire and groovy disco dance moves, made an appearance on Google Maps. Get groovy with Pegman as he makes some epic dance moves when you select "Explore Nearby" and tap "Funky Town."

2) Google Keyless Keyboard - 2015

Have a good old party horn? Turn it into a keyless keyboard with Google Japan’s novel gadget that innovates our way of typing through the use of this common party prop. Check out the Google Keyless Keyboard in the video below.

3) Catching Pokémon on Google Maps - 2014
On April Fools’ Day in 2014, Google invited players to catch pokémon inside of the Google Maps app. Check out the video advertising an augmented reality Pokémon game tied into Google Maps. Who knew it would turn into the Pokémon Go craze that we’ve seen in 2016.

4) Google Apps for Business Dogs - 2014
Love dogs? Then you will love Google Apps for Business Dogs. Find out how to get your canine be more productive at work.

5) Gmail Blue - 2013
Monday Blues? It gets better with the introduction of the new all-blue version of Gmail in 2013. The new feature makes all buttons, characters and menus various shades of blue. Was Gmail Blue an April Fool's joke? Take a look at developer Shon Dalezman's Gmail Blue Chrome Extension and then decide.

6) Google Voice for Pets - 2012
Pets are fitted with special Voice Communication Collars that use a series of sensors to record audio directly from your dog or cat’s vocal cords. Use our transcription engine to translate a cat’s meows and dog’s growls to English.

Google Maps nos ha sorprendido ya a muchos jugando una pequeña versión de Pacman en las calles de nuestros países y ciudades tanto en el móvil como en el ordenador.

• En el móvil:

Basta con que tengas la última actualización de Google Maps en android (9.49.2), ingresas a la App e inmediatamente sin importar donde te ubiques veras un pequeño circulo rosa con Ms. Pacman en su interior.

• En el ordenador:

ingresa a https://maps.google.com/ y justa al lado de "vista satélite" veras el característico lugar de juego.

Why do I see pac man in Google maps? Anything special for fools day?

I am a level 5 local guide and I woke up this morning and got a new feature has been added to Google Maps, the introduction of Pac-man game. I have added screenshots of it and made a complete video on playing the game. I scored 8720 point playing the game.

Also, keep in mind that I am a beta tester for google Maps, so maybe that's why I got an early access to the new feature. If you can see the game in your application in your phone, please write down below.

Google maps has come up with the latest feature of playing Pac-Man on Google maps on the go !!!
Just click the 'pac-man' symbol you see when you open google maps and then it will take you to a specific street custom mapped for this game. And just swipe to play & have fun !!!.
look for pac-man symbol when you open MapsSwipe anywhere to start playing
Do avoid playing this while driving a vehicle or doing any other critical tasks.

Not showing up only the locations now Google map can be used for entertainment purpose also. If we get bored while doing different tasks on map we can refresh ourselves in the same platform with the game Ms. Pac-Man. As I was reading different posts in internet I got to read news about this Pac-Man on Forbes which you can check here. Are those places, mentioned in the link provided, the best place to play this game? Or you have rather best places to play? How does your current current location look like in Ms. Pac-Man ? I've tried playing Pac-Man in my own region but after trying it multiple times I see that it takes me to US. All in all, I still found it entertaining:)

I've been a huge fan of Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man since 1980/1981 when they were released. And, it's really hard to get hold of a faithful Pac-Man or Ms. Pac-Man clone. Namco released a bunch of Ms. Pac-Man games that were actually different than the original programming. The biggest cue of this is the orange ghost, which is called Clyde in Pac-Man and Sue in Ms. Pac-Man. The orange ghost doesn't actually follow you, but has a quasi-random pattern with the original logic. So, pretty much every Pac-Man game except for the two originals didn't actually have the same logic. That was, until Google started doing Doodles and Maps with Pac-Man. I'm just really amazed at how faithfully they've taken the original Pac-Man logic and integrated it in Google. The 8 axis points is a little weird, but it's pretty impossible to get most maps into up, down, right, and left, so I can appreciate how they added that. Even though it would be a cool addition to make Google search for a map that works with just 4 axis points, like the original game. Oh, and something else that most of the clones left out, that Google got really right it the ability to project your move before you turn. So, if you're going straight, and then move to the right...then when you finally get to the next right turn, it will automatically turn right.

Why is it better this year? They took an already faithful rendition and fixed some of the issues. In previous years, I'd get stuck a lot when the map was too jagged or rounded, but this year Ms. Pac-Man can take any curve or awkward angle. It also works with more maps than it did last year. And this year it's available for Android devices.

Thanks very much to the Google team, and thanks for leaving this awesome creation up for a few days!

Even though I have a glowing review...there are some differences...

• No cut scenes
• They removed the glitch where sometimes you can go through a ghost
• Eight axis points
• Insanely hard maps compared to the original maps

I don't think you can pick your map on the app. You need to go to a browser to do that.
