Interested in 360 cameras? Wondering what all the fuss is about? Next-generation 360 cameras can create (and update) Street View in a snap, offering an easy way to contribute 360 imagery to Google Maps. Interested in testing a 360 camera and discovering how you can create your own Street View 360 images? Read on!

At the Street View Summit in May, we announced an expansion of the Street View camera loan program to include 360 cameras. We debuted this program in the Netherlands and now have cameras available to loan in Austria, Brazil, Denmark, Finland, France, Italy, Japan, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Apply to borrow a Street View camera, and tell us a bit about any projects you have in mind. When applying, please be sure to select the option to tell us that you participate in the Local Guides program and we will fast-track your application. We are not able to fill all requests, but if you are selected, you will be able to retain the camera for 45 days, with the possibility of an extension.

Stay tuned - we are working hard to expand eligibility to additional countries in the future.

yeah, this is  a nice idea, but  in my case, its impossible to apply for that, because im working in the cruise ship and I always go in any country,,

Hi, From the activity I see in the forum, it seems this program is dead. But it has never hurt anyone to ask politely. Was it, is, or will be be available for the Canary Islands?

I saw some photos that Google sends surprise gifts for some guides and they upload it on Instagram to show that they have got gift. I have noticed that those who get those doesn't need that most because they already have something to provide 360 degree photos on Map. So, give the cameras to those local guides who need that most not to those who already have one.

While I think "those that got gifts," is arbritrary, I think Maps stands to benefit from guides equipped with the right tools.  I've been asking Google to get me a 360 Moto Mod for what seems like ages; I see so many opportunities for improvement and want to contribute quality content, but am limited because of how tedious and time consuming spinning impossibly slowly in a circle is at busy, crowded, sometimes unfamiliar locations.  It would really make a difference in making these places more accessible.

Interested in a 360 Loan program I also like to walk to the park's , Flowers show ,Hobbies, shopping or thrift stores some things people are interested in and I think I could take good pictures with the 360 camera is wanted to take great pictures of my  Chicago landscape.

Hello I would love to borrow a street view camera, because I was going to begin a road trip thru Minnesota and Wisconsin visiting the top 10 best small towns to visit in the two states and also stopping at there state parks ... I think having this camera on this journey could help out not only me but also Google which helps out all the people that use Google  for these services in particular.. That type of camera would be a huge asset to have on this project.. thank you guides

I have GoPro Max 360 Camera. I travel a lot and also shoot 360-degree videos and photos. When I try to upload a .360 file on google street It doesn't allow it.
When I upload 360 photos, I can upload but geolocation is deducted automatically but the Image contains geolocation data as metadata.
How am I able to upload 360-degree videos? Recently Google has announced google street will come into India with some conditions. I want to be part of the google VR Journey in India which I have to do.
