is the Points System changed?

As far as i remember until a couple of weeks ago you would get 1 point for giving star rating to a place. 1 point if you write a review and 1 point for a picture upload.

has that changed recently or am i just mistaken?

I dont think this question has been answered, even though it says it has. 

Per Google local guides help: Ratings are 1 pt, reviews and pictures are 5. 

Definitely go look for yourself though.

Hey @AU_Stu!

There have been changes to the points system effective today, to be rolled out over time. Check out this post for further information. Points were usually only counting as single units (one for each action completed) but eventually your points will be updated soon to reflect the new system.

You can choose the solution that best fits the answer to your question, as you have done previously. If you feel it hasn't been answer, you can unmark the solution. My points haven't been updated yet, they will eventually.

Hi @AU_Stu, the answer is correct as it's an old post check the date of the answer. the announcement of the changes was today as @Briggs stated and it will be rolled progressively for all users  🙂

Friends it has already changed in system even I hot elevated from level 5 to 7
