Find and read the post, 'Edit a Road Segment' in the News and Updates sub-forum.

Yes, we cannot edit all of a road segments info/attributes quite yet.  Must have some patience.

For now it seems, to edit a missing place you can try this:

  1. Open the Google Maps app for Android
  2. Tap = to open the side menu
  3. Scroll down to “Send Feedback”
  4. Tap “Edit the map”
  5. Tap the road segment you want to edit
  6. Tap “Next”
  7. Suggest the changes for the road you selected (Name, Incorrectly drawn, One-way/two-way, Closed, or Private)
  8. Tap Send

Currently adding new road from desktop is not supported for everyone. But you still can report a missing road from Desktop.

Google Map Maker officially closed on March 31, 2017, many of its features are being integrated into Google Maps. So it might take some time

That feature that allows you to edit a road section was available through the map maker program which is now over. some of its functionalities(map marker) has been integrated in maps which shall be live soon.

In Nairobi... always suggesting using Outer Ring Rd on to Airport South Rd to get to the airport during rush hour.... Except Airport South Rd is not passable past the airport runway. In fact army guys are sometimes there and its not a place that's good to pass unless you want to be accused of being a terrorist (if you know what I $$ mean).

Same for the return journey. No way to edit even for Local Guides. NO BUENO!

Also in town, so many 1 way roads (and they've been 1 way since I was a child) are still not marked as such on Maps. If you miss that tiny no entry sign again kanjo will be on you $$$ and that will be a bad bad day. So many no right-turns not marked also etc etc etc etc

SORT THIS OUT GOOGLE!
