Street signs

Is there anyone else who has noticed the lack of street names in Glasgow. Yet no lack in park and pay signs?

I live in city center & street sign are all over the place normally high up above stores, but i find that there will be 1 sign at start of the street then none for a good distance, since the set up of street are a mess like cathedral street & bath street join under the tunnel at Buchanan gallery, good things maps are well signed but number of building are missing

I can't say i noticed it a lot but I do find they are there until I get close to where i want to go and then they mysteriously disappear. I do agree with the other persons observation there's a massive amount of buildings with no building number on them, that at least would give a clue which direction to go or what side of the street to be on.
