Rule for adult places ?

Hello, I was wondering if there is a specific set of rules for "adult places". Let me explain what I mean by that...

The other day I walked in front of some kind of strip club in Paris (The Guy's Club, St Germain Paris) and I thought, hey I could add this place to the map : but it was already listed (so I ended up adding a photo of the front store...). But I guess that you don"t upload photos of inside those kind of places to the map right ? (I am not going inside anyway... but I was just wondering...)

Anyone has any feedback about that very hot subject ?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Rule for adult places ?

Hi

As of your findings as far as I know google has very strict rules about privacy so it blurred human faces and car registration numbers.

your photos may not allowed instantly but may approve after moderation

thanks

Here is a Google Help Article on the subject of Google rules for adding images:

Re: Rule for adult places ?

THanks for the links.

But well.... know, even if you read the rules .... it is not always easy to decipher / understand.

About adult places, I guess we have to refer to this text

"We do not allow pornographic, sexually explicit, or strongly suggestive content.  Content with non-sexual nudity may be permitted, where relevant to the location being captured, and where permissible under local law. "

But then I guess that everyone can read the rule and/ but ....may interpret it differently.

I am in France, so I am  not surprised if I see a flyer on a shop with a "suggestive content"...aimed for advertising a business...

Re: Rule for adult places ?

Hi @GéraldM (and all),

Among the same rules, if you click on "privacy" on the right, there is also this one: "Be a good neighbor and don't publish content in which people are identifiable without their permission. This is particularly important in sensitive locations, where people may object to publishing their image". So this would also apply to the "guests" or "customers" in that place. One might be interested to spend an evening in such a "relaxed" place but may not like the idea that his wife (or her husband) will see those pictures later. Or the colleagues or bosses...

With such sensitive places, you could organize a photo session with the owner (if he's interested); show the interior when there are no customers (and of course, "artists").

Certainly a butcher's shop is different. Not so sensitive.
