This is a thread about a single edit that will not go through, which is a perfectly normal occurrence. The author has posted his issue in hopes of getting help, which we are trying to proved. @dibert, also has a single edit that won't go through, and we can attempt to help him too. Please keep the thread on topic.
Due to the volume I receive, I do not respond to unsolicited private messages

Okay @Flash. Let's do our best to work together.
@dibert, let's help in diagnosing your issue first.
Firstly you're wanting to correct the company name that you work for? Would be able to provide the following:
Company URL:
Current Name:
Suggested Name:
Additional evidence to support suggestion:
We will see how we are able to direct your edits to a better outcome.

Here you go...
Company URL: https://www.broadsoft.com/ . (See copyright at bottom of page)
Current Name: Broadsoft (See https://www.google.com/maps/place/Broadsoft/@51.1136294,-0.1921347,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x487... ) . This is the one that was denied with no reason given.
Suggested Name: BroadSoft, Inc. (With a capital "S".)
Additional evidence to support suggestion:

It's such a lovely designed website and logo.
Alright. Broadsoft should be with a capital S, as BroadSoft from the website. I can't change it, but I believe Flash or someone else with substantially higher trust at this current time can.
How you have included "Inc." at the end I do not recommend. As per the representation guidelines, irrelevant legal terms are not permitted unless they are part of the company's real world representation. The easiest way to determine as such is how you would answer a telephone call, whether it's "Hello this is BroadSoft, Dave speaking" or "Hello welcome to BroadSoft Inc. how can I help you?" The website is also a giveaway.
I'll leave it to another's hands. Thanks for providing us the information, we will keep you updated shortly.

Thanks. Not a big deal if Inc is left off. I see your point and it makes more sense without it. In few months the company name may be changing to Cisco anyways.
BTW, My comment about edits being denied is when edits are denied, there's no reason given and no way to provide additional feedback. The one-way communication is a bit frustrating. That was the reason I made the comment, but since you asked I thought I'd send you one of my edits that was denied. Thanks for your help.

I too, and plenty of other local guides do want a system or moderation process that can either send additional feedback or reasoning regarding a rejection, some sort of review or appeal process or such. Either way, it will improve over time. Think about how the Google team has to handle a suggestion when they are given only what you are changing with no sort of additional reasoning to help support. We can only submit feedback and pray tell they're considering.

Thank you for the example. In this case what's going to be the largest block to the edit is the fact that there is a rule that names should be capitalized properly.
The rule is in place because people often try to enter things in all capitals for emphasis, such as BROADSOFT. Even if the company uses all capitals in their branding it is not permitted on the map.
In cases such as you present where non-standard word/name forms part of the name, stylized (but not all capitals) capitalization is allowed. But the need to filter people making inappropriate capitalization is stronger. Overcoming that required the help of one of the top mappers in the UK; he has managed to queue the edit.
I would strongly recommend that you have your employers have someone claim this and their other locations via Google My Business
As for the issue with regards to the communication, there are a couple of things blocking that.
The first is volume. Google receives tens of thousands of edits a day. If an algorithm denies your edit then it might be a combination of 20 things that each contributed, so it's hard for an error message to be produced. But also, precise error messages would allow spammers to figure out the algorithms' secrets in very short order. And for those that reach a human, they too have much too much volume to write out explanations.
In the past we did our editing via a tool called Map Maker. It was intended for very advanced users, and at first the Google Reviewers did coach the users. However, after a few years so many users were using Map Maker that less than 1% of users returned for a second edit, making the communication largely useless. Google thus had to stop as it was found that there was no measurable benefit.
Due to the volume I receive, I do not respond to unsolicited private messages
