New look and feel for Google Maps announced on Google Blog

Hi all.

I had a quick question.

Are you all able to see the new maps icons and interface on your mobile?

I am still on the old version.

When I sign out of maps, I see the new version.

When I sign in I see the old version again.

On a desktop computer browser I see the new version even when I am signed in.

Just thought that I should check with you all about it.

Hi @RaghavA,

That is an interesting observation.  I never thought of the icon sets used will depend on our Sign On account used in Maps.

Can you try to clear the cache of the Maps app, try again and update back your findings?

This is the first time I heard of this situation.

Thanks for your reply.

Just now I cleared all the data and cache in my phone's maps app.

The situation is still the same.

I am not sure if others are facing it or not. 🙂

This is not a deal breaker at all.

However it would be lovely to have the new interface.

Checked with friends and family too.

All have the new interface active while logged in and logged out of google maps.

I am on version 9.69.1.

I will try posting in the google product forums as well.
