Is mapping locations prone to natural disasters, during the disaster period, relevant to Google Maps? Currently Toronto Islands are 40% under water after 1947 and water level is still rising. Flooding in Humber River valley took 35 lives after 60 homes were destroyed in 1954 as result of vast deforestation during 1860 s. The Humber Valley reforestation plan has now secured this area and no damage was reported during the recent floods. Should Google maps records these disasters.

You brought a great question. There are ways you can help improve Maps by letting Google know about any closed roads in the area, as in:

Hello,
Such features do not belong on the base map, but rather Google provides multiple ways to create a custom map upon which such information can be recorded. The easiest to use would be Google My Maps.
