I joined the Local Guides program a couple of years ago when I wanted to add a new place on my street, but, Google Maps wouldn't accept or publish my edit. As I gathered more and more credibility (read: Local Guide points), I was finally able to add places or missing locations to the map and even get instant approval. I've always assumed that's the destination. Fact is, I loved the journey so much, I could just never stopped giving. It feels amazing and special to be a part of something bigger than just me. My interest in photography coupled with the love I get on reviews keeps pushing me to help the world become just a little better.
