Re: How to recognise a spammy business listing

Regarding using Feedback when a first attempt to remove some spam failed; as much information as you can give them is best, but then don't waste too much time on one listing.  Point out the obvious ways it is spam.  You can always post goo.gl links to a few instances and we can let you know how we would submit it.

"Other feedback will be slow; it is unlike the other options it must all be processed by hand and each feedback's solution will vary widely from the last.  That is why I am only suggesting that you use it after trying a conventional edit.

I love the post as it highlight a growing problem on Google Maps that I have also see happen around me.

Re: How to recognise a spammy business listing

How can I do in these cases?

How to prevent real places from being reported as " Does not exist"

Hello everybody, LGs and my seniors,

Adding places to google maps is my hobby and I did a lots. Every time I add I make sure right name, right category, right photos and right address and other information as much as possible. Most of places I added are approved.

But the problem is there are some people who are reporting every place in the whole city as " Does not exist". That is terrible and disgusting.

For example

Botahtaung pagoda in Yangon, Myanmar is reported as " Permanently closed" by some people and now the place is permanently closed on Maps.

Actually the Botahtaung pagoda is really existing, has several reviews and photos by tourists and locals.

A few months ago I added 2 Christian Churches and 2 Islam Mosques in a small town (and all published) . But after a few days all places are not on Maps. I have saved links but I can't open. I know they are reported as "Does not exist". I added again and got published. But after a few days same things happen. 3 times happened.

A few days ago a bus service was added, published but reported on next day and deleted. I add again and got published. But deleted on next day. 3 times happened.

These people are fake LGs. They are destroying Maps. I think these people are gaining point by reporting "Does not exist" .

Now day by day, more and more places are missing on Maps. More and more places are distoryed.

So please help me. Tell me how to prevent from being reported as " Does not exist"

Thanks

@waiyanhtet
