To fellow readers who may or may not know how to overlay or import shape file (Arc-Gis) on to google. There two methods of doing this. Required software needed is Arc 10.1 or above. Things to do to import shape file to google maps: 1.Open Arc Gis 2. Add shape file (point, polygon or line feature) 3. After shape file is been added on Arc Gis software: Go to File- Share As - Service 4.Publish your shape file no to google and post/ share for ease of access for general or private use. Method 2: 1. Open Google Earth Pro software: 2. Go to File- 3. Locate ESRI Shape (*.shp) above Open Tab 4.Locate your shape file click on your file and Open 5.Shape will be displayed on google earth pro for access. Let me know if any one wants help.
