Hi @SureshKmt
I believe Google relies on it translate feature to come up with the local language equivalent of names of places. In most cases it goes for the literal translation of the words and this results in some weird (and often funny) outcomes.
From google maps, you could update the same using 'Suggest an edit' link available under a place. Using google keyboard (or anything similar which has Hindi characters ) you could update the name.

Hope this helps.

Hi @SureshKmt to correct the hindi name of a location you can change the language to hindi by adding "?hl=hi" after the url
Eg. https://www.google.com.np/maps/?hl=hi
Hope it helps.

you can send a feedback to Google Maps Team.
here is the small tutorial for it.
1 : open Google Maps.
2 : Select Menu.
3 : Click Send feedback.
4 : Select Other Feedback.
5 : Describe your issue and take screenshot of place and click Submit.
Google team will review your feedback and take some time to be updated on Maps.

I was also searching for the same, though for Bengali language.
So I guess Google Map take its local name from the Google Translate Community. You can help in translate from English to Hindi.
To do so, Menu -> Send Feedback -> Translate -> Englist to Hindi
This will not change your desired location directly, but will help to the translation correct for other locations.

I am unable to find this option to translate. I am getting the below options only in send feedback menu option
