Adding new non-existing category to maps

hi!

I can't the category surf club (like a sports club / football club club house ) doesn't exist, and I can't find out how to add a new category to the list

The first results told me to go into the Google apis and send out a template for a new category request but I couldn't get it to work, 

Anyone familiar with this process? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

First and better way is that you can select most similar existing category.

Also to report a missing info and any other things, you can easily use "Send feedback" at the bottom of the Maps and then select "Other feedback" and describe the problem. A respective team will review your feedback and take necessary decision. But because lots of reports allover the world it takes time and also you'll not be notified about the result.
