Jodipan Colorful Kampong Cleaned Up - Malang Local Guides Volunteer Day 2016

Yesterday was a great day for people around Jodipan Colorful Village, Malang, Indonesia.
Jodipan itself now is a well-known village of its colorful settlement that attracts thousand of visitors until today.
From a riverside rural area, now the village has transformed into a big recreation place..
But, as also we know, the negative effect of the massive tourism are trashes.. not only from the people but also from the river if it flooded, so we initiate to help the villagers to keep it cleanliness.
Starts from 8.30 AM, we cleaned the riverside, toilets, stairways, and alleys. We also socializing with the locals and help them with added (and reviewed) their business place on Google Maps.
We randomly asked some visitors about Local Guides and its features on Maps. Then, we shared our knowledge about it.
We also invites some visitors to join us do some 360 deg. photos and added it to social media for a bigger impact. It was fun! We got 2 new Local Guides there and they're so happy about that. Who knew volunteering gonna be this fun yet still useful for many people. We looking forward for another opportunity like this, to make a better place for all. Thank you.

 p.s: some of our activities there. we strolled around the village.

We randomly asked the visitors about Local Guides and shared our knowledge about the program.

We gave free mask some villagers and add some local business to Google Maps

we teamed up to clean the riverside

we also cleaned some stairways and alleys
