An invigorating experience that is truly worth the journey. The day was totally enjoyable with the Blue Mugs Ukulele festival of fun as well as the completely exhilarating views and encountering a connection with the glorious Blue Mountains from Katoomba and Echo Point that really does take you far away in time!!

After arriving at the Carrington hotel where music filled the air with laughter and good times everywhere from all those attending the Ukulele Blue Mugs festival.

Checked out the stunning Carrington hotel as well.so beautiful with antiques and fine grade stylish high quality distinguished decor. Classic charming stained glass on all levels, with an amazing centre dome in the bar area. Plus as mentioned, but worth mentioning again because of the glory of all around the hotel was antique furnishings and very stylish ballroom, billiards room, library, meeting room, dining and show room.

Then set of to a few hours sightseeing in the Blue Mountains. Started with The Wentworth falls. A magnificent waterfalls walk that takes your breath away. A really easy walk  through the beautiful Blue Mountains bushland to view the Wentworth falls.

Started at Jamison Lookout. A stunning view of the Blue Mountains with easy access to easy walks to view Wentworth falls and to go all the way to the falls also.

You can walk right down to the actual falls as well, but as there was still the Three Sisters to see and the Ukulele festival , the Princes Rock bush walk track and lookout covered an exceptional view for pictures of the Wentworth falls.Conservation Hut , Wentworth falls, Blue MountainsConservation Hut , Wentworth falls, Blue Mountains

Next was The Conservation Hut for lunch with views of the mountains while you eat. Excellent service and great food, a recommended place to stop when you visit the Blue Mountains.

After lunch headed back to Katoomba to Echo Point to see the Three Sisters. You can take a path via Wentworth falls to go.onto the actual Rocks of the Three sisters. It is. Long walk to get to, worth it, and also have the choice for a simple easy walk and spectacular view via Echo Point at Katoomba. I recommend this to everyone as a top place to visit when you come to Sydney, Australia for a taste of Australian bushland beauty and connection with Aboriginal history.

The Legend. The Aboriginal dream-time legend has it that three sisters, 'Meehni', 'Wimlah' and Gunnedoo' lived in the Jamison Valley as members of the Katoomba tribe. These beautiful young ladies had fallen in love with three brothers from the Nepean tribe, yet tribal law forbade them to marry.

As the lives of the three sisters were seriously in danger, a witchdoctor from the Katoomba tribe took it upon himself to turn the three sisters into stone to protect them from any harm. While he had intended to reverse the spell when the battle was over, the witchdoctor himself was killed.

Read more of the story about the Blue Mountains here.

After seeing the most awe-inspiring views from Echo Point , then went back to the Carrington Hotel to see Sydney Local Guide Paul Abrahams in the Jazz band there. Saw lots of fabulous music bands and stayed to the end of the night enjoying all the Blue Mugs Ukulele festival fun.

Movie made by Google Photos of Blue Mountains with the Ukulele festival too.

Witchdoctor 😀😁This word roamed in my mind @Justine2807. While reading i thought that the witchdoctor is lady but later got myself wrong. I guess as the witchdoctor died so there was no other to turn three sisters back to normal form from the stone form.

Is the 'three sisters' area protected one?

The recap is perfectly decorated with beautiful photos. Thanks for sharing!

Hi @BishowvijayaP

Thank you for your kindness and great comments here. Your interest in the Three Sisters area is shared. I loved the story and Yes it is a protected area, It is all National Park area as well as sacred land for the Blue Mountains aboriginal tribes, there are a few in the area as you can see from the story of how the Three Sisters formed.

There are two stories. One which includes the Lyre Bird, their Dad, who was the "witch doctor"!

All very interesting. You can read both of the complete stories Here

Thank you again for all you do Bishowvijaya, you are always so supportive.

Cheers
