[RECAP] Sokolniki Photo Walk - Moscow Russia

Hi fellows.

This meet up took place thanks to the idea that @Janie had generated here.

So we choose Sokolniki Park, the park with an area of six square kilometers named for the falcon hunt of the Grand Dukes of Muscovy formerly conducted there. The park gained its name from the Sokolnichya Quarter, the 17th-century home of the sovereign's falconers (sokol mean falcon is the Russian).  It was established as a public municipal park in 1878.

I had time to prepare. As usual, I developed badges for all participants. I try to make the badges reflect the time and place, and also used as a business card of our local community, and as memorabilia for the participants. Since our meeting was held in the beginning of the FIFA World Cup, and around us - hundreds of thousands of football fans from all over the world, I used a football theme, namely, - a Doodle dedicated to the opening of the World Cup.

We spent some interesting hours in the park, where on this day there was a huge number of people, events, concerts.

 On this day in the park there was a Food Trucks Festival, in which we also took part:Food Trucks Festival.

Unexpectedly, we ended up at a concert of musicians and dancers from Bolivia:Bolivia's concert

We also talked about the Local Guides project, discussed current issues. I spoke in detail about the LG summit, in which I had the honor to participate last year. 

I liked the meet up, I'm glad that it was held! Thanks to all participants!
