You are invited to participate in a live broadcast on Facebook this coming Sunday.
The theme of the Meet-Up is simple: go to a popular location in your town where people would take a selfie. The idea of the Meet-Up is to have fun with fellow #LocalGuides in different parts of the world during this Facebook Live broadcast. Whilst you are at your location, we like you to use the opportunity to contribute to Google Maps, as Local Guides do.
Participants are asked to sign up at the Facebook Event page.

How it works for participants:
Participants that wish to join the live broadcast will be asked to download a special app from the app-store to install on your phone. This app enables you to connect via a special link to our Live Broadcast Studio. You do need a Facebook account.
Depending on the number of participants, except that we probably need to schedule your live time-slot in our show. As the producer of the show, I will reach out to you via Facebook Messenger with instructions (probably on Friday). Keep in mind that you need sufficient data bandwidth to go live on Facebook (as you would if you were to go live on your own). You may, of course, adapt your location to ensure your internet coverage. You can always visit the site beforehand and go live on your Facebook profile to test the quality of both sound and video.
After you confirmed the allocated time-slot, you will be asked to connect with the studio (via the app) shortly before you will be "On Air". Our Facebook Live studio can hold up to 10 people in the waiting lobby at one single time.

Watching the live broadcast on Facebook will enable you to communicate with the participants in real-time via the comments. You can ask questions, give feedback or simply say hello.
