寧夏夜市由來

寧夏路是台北夜市的發源地之一，以小吃為主、物美價廉、名聞遐邇，連接建成圓環、雙連市場而形成一個特色商圈，曾為大稻埕帶來了空前的發展。

日治時期，，現在寧夏夜市所在地為下奎府町，二次世界大戰後，此路段命名為「寧夏街」，後來改為「寧夏路」。此路沿線屬商業區，有著名的「寧夏夜市」，隸屬於建成圓環的一部分。

1973年，重慶北路拓寬工程開工，兩旁露店拆除，市政府將圓環的攤商安置在重慶北路二段與寧夏路兩旁營業，寧夏路夜市就隨著圓環的衰落而漸漸壯大起來。這裡保有傳統且人性化的空間，並保留部分小吃特色，加上寧夏路夜市老字號的攤商，仍具有獨特風味。

隨著台北越來越多夜市興起，寧夏夜市也就漸漸沒落了。台北市都市發展局為了推動寧夏商圈的風華再現，挑選此地為「夜市改造示範點」，經過「臺北市夜市改造計畫」的工程，闢建行人徒步區以及計畫裝設油脂截流器，不但改善了攤販的營業環境，也讓消費者吃得安心，人潮也恢復了往日的盛況。

民國90年8月，為促進此地商機更結合地方人士正式成立「大同區寧夏夜市商圈發展協會」，協助台北市政府進行整頓寧夏商圈及設置行人徒步區等工程。

經營特色

寧夏夜市裡的攤販多為經營數十年的老字號，有多到數不清的古早味特色小吃，充分展現大稻埕的古早風味，著名的寧夏小吃如赤肉蒸餃、沙拉船、蚵仔煎、雞肉飯、蚵仔麵、沙拉魚卵、魚翅肉羹、豬腳麵、麻辣豆腐、燒麻糬…等，選擇也十分多元，充滿令人懷念的好滋味。

As I mentioned, the main communication of this event will be in Chinese-Traditional and Mandarin.  Please use Google Translate for assistance.

When there are official event materials that will be handed out to participants during the event, we will try to prepare causal English version on request.

Now, I have taken note and will prepare an English version for event materials for you.

Can you share you expectations for this event?  What will be your main objective while attending this event?
