Theme: “Lagos Local Guides Summit; As we dey Map na so we dey Guide" This will be the maiden Summit held in Lagos State, Nigeria. Over the years, we have observed the steady rise of Local Guides in all cities of Nigeria, with significant meet up/activities with Lagos spearheading a massive following due to its large population. The Summit is scheduled to hold on May 5, 2018 at a prestigious venue within Lagos metropolis. The Summit is aimed at bringing Lagos Local Guides together to share notable experiences, educating on the LG programme, introducing the programme to visitors and bringing more guides operating in silos into the group. The Summit will also provide a venue for all Local Guides to commune and deliberate on plans for the rest of the year into the next Summit, thereby making significant presence and contributions to/on Google Maps. The Summit promises to be exciting and memorable; as many Local Guides from all walks of life meet for the first time. There will be lots to see and do, cameras will be clicking away as new experiences are being formed; Google maps will experience better contributions of photos, reviews and on LG Connect; also the social media platforms. It is hoped that the Lagos Local Guides Summit will eventually become Nigeria Local Guides Summit, where a better structure and system will house information of LGs in each state. Attendees are advised to come along with means of identification and fully charged cameras and mobile devices.

Clearing all previous calendar schedules and marking the date! Nothing should prevent the opportunity of meeting almost all local guides in Lagos which I guess will pave way for the Nigeria Local Guides Summit in a grand style.
