Report Button for claimed business

Hi fellow LGs, first post here !

Here in France, I've seen way too much abuses from claimed Maps business owners regarding personal datas and reviews.

May that be hotels, museums, carshops or any business that might have access to personal data, a lot of LG colleagues and/or Google Maps users have already received direct mails or even phone calls when sending a bad review on their business page.

In such a period where personal data protection is getting more and more important, the ability to pressure reviewers on Google Maps shouldn't, in my opinion, be allowed.

As a consequence, I would like to propose a "report" Button or function that would allow any users or LG to report any bad behaviour regarding TOUs or the use or personal data.

Please explain what TOUs mean.

I see and try to clean keyword stuffing in the name fields daily. And it would be wonderful to have an easy way to notify the relevant Google team when business owners keep violating the guidelines.

I have reported this issue a couple of times here on Connect, people claiming business wrongly, in my experience I´ve seen this stores claiming whole shopping centers  situation happen to a lot of Local Guides.

My idea is to add the option “Report owner/business” 

Also this button can be used for owners that are not following guidelines.

This could help to give these types of reports a better response time and keep the map updated and always with useful information for users.

In the place info you just have to tap the 3 dots button and select “Report owner”

After tapping that option, you could select between two options:

• Regulatory compliance 
• Wrongly claimed business

 For the second option you could answer a form with all the correct information such as:

• Name
• Category
• Phone number
• Website.

In some cases another POI is created because people can't find the original place, so the duplicated one can be specified just like when you are suggesting an edit of a place to be deleted.

Important: I think it is important to show a message to the user before sending the report, this message should warn that sending a report is something that has to be done only in serious situations where guidelines have been broken or there is wrong information.

Hola @LaloPadilla , me gusta la propuesta, yo le agregaría algunas condiciones que se tienen que cumplir antes de poder habilitar el botón "Report Owner", que serian.

• El sitio tiene que estar autenticado por My Business, ya que si no es así significa que el reporte le puede llegar a un falso dueño del negocio, con lo cual se continuaría con la mala información.
• Por otro lado ten en cuenta que cualquier modificación que se solicite del sitio, si el sitio esta en declarado en My Business, le llegara previamente una notificación al dueño del local para que apruebe o no dicha modificación.

Por tal lo mejor es que todos los negocios puedan estar previamente declarados en My Business.

Hola @FaridTDF , gracias por tu comentario, el objetivo sería reportar ambos casos:

• Tanto a los falsos dueños que no están verificados, de este modo muchas ediciones se aplicarían con mayor rapidez y así mantener la información del mapa correcta.(El caso del post que realice, las ediciones no se aplicaron y espero que pronto alguien lo revise)
• Y a los dueños verificados que no cumplen las reglas.

En un meet-up varias pesonas de Indonesia comentaban lo mismo, allá lo hacen con total intención para que el negocio tenga más visualización y más clientes. Esto ayudaría a corregir estos casos de manera mas eficiente.
