Hi people I have a question which I've been trying to fix for a long time and I can't for the life of me. My problem is my routes that my time line says I took shows it different than the actual routes I'm taking. For example instead of it following my way of travel it doesn't, it cuts through buildings it cuts through things it shouldn't instead of staying on the street I actually took. Please help me with this anyone.

your location depends on Location Accuracy.

Turn on high-accuracy mode

To help Google Maps find your location with the most accurate blue dot, use high-accuracy mode.

1. On your phone or tablet, open the Settings app .
2. Tap Location.
3. At the top, switch location on.
4. Tap Mode High accuracy.

More ways to improve location accuracy

If your location is still wrong, here are some things you can try.

Turn on Wi-Fi

1. On your phone or tablet, open the Settings app .
2. Choose Wi-Fi.
3. At the top, slide Wi-Fi on.

Restart your phone or tablet

To restart your phone or tablet, turn it off and on.

• Turn your phone off: Hold down the power button Power off.
• Turn your phone on: Hold down the power button until your phone turns on.

Calibrate your phone or tablet

If your blue dot is pointing in the wrong direction, you can calibrate your phone or tablet’s compass.
