Hello,
I've taken up Guiding about one month ago. Today, I was looking over the reviews I've written and was disappointed to find that out of all of my reviews I had a single helpful thumb. Perhaps my reviews are too long, maybe I'm focusing on the wrong elements of the review, for some reviews I've adopted a "Pros and cons" style - is that a good choice?
I first considered doing some research. I might find lists of most helpful reviews, and compare their elements to reviews of only ordinary helpfulness. Then, I recalled the Guides Connect forum! I'm here to start a discussion - "How do I write more helpful reviews?"
Are there any tips you can offer? Examples of highly rated reviews? Guidelines to follow? Previous conversations on this topic (I did search the forum a few times, but didn't find any).
Thanks in advance,
David

I scrolled through your reviews and a few (eg GameWorks, Serious Pie) are too long*, the rest are very good. Insightful, helpful and I like the way you mention friendly staff. If I lived in your locale, yours are the sort of reviews I'd give a thumbs up to.
*Choose the right length - a paragraph is great. Be creative and have fun!

Hi,
I hope all is well and that things are moving upwards with regards to your LG "career" 😉
Another user, posted a similar request and in response I have created an independent classroom where interested Local Guides can give feedback on each other's reviews.
This is the Forum Thread I am referring to: https://www.localguidesconnect.com/t5/General-Discussion/Review-Quality-Control/m-p/221419/highlight...
Happy learning and keep up the good work!
