You can expect that Connect Moderators will be willing to share their knowledge with you, whether it be about Google Maps, the Local Guides program or Connect. They're pretty popular and not on Connect constantly, nor are they expected to be, so please be patient and mindful of the 5 cores values of Connect as you normally would. Do not tag them just because you want them to see your post. Connect Moderators are not Google employees, nor do they have any special superpowers beyond being awesome Local Guides. If you need something urgent or sensitive, please reach out to one of the Google Moderators.

Please give these amazing Local Guides a virtual high-five and thank you!

Interested in becoming a moderator for Local Guides Connect? Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Local Guides Level 5+ who actively and consistently contribute to Google Maps and Local Guides Connect, following our program rules and 5 cores values of Connect.
  • Friendly and respectful community members who help keep Connect a warm, welcoming and informative place with their knowledge, accuracy and tone.

There is no application or nomination process. Keep contributing and engaging with your fellow Local Guides and the Local Guides team will be in touch if you are selected.

Note: Due to the volume of private messages Googlers receive, I do not read or respond to private messages. Please post publicly so others may benefit from your discussion. If you require urgent assistance, please tag a Google Moderator. Thank you!.

Hi, @NabilKarem

The answer to your question is on the original post. I will repeat it here:

Connect Moderator

Hi @NabilKarem friend @ErmesT is correct, it's not about points. You could be a Level 1 and if you were the right person you could be a moderator. Moderating here on Connect is about finding people who need help and giving them that help, sometimes publicly sometimes via private message. It also means having difficult conversations sometimes when people are not following the Core Values of Connect. Mostly becoming a moderator is about being noticed, contribute here on Connect in a positive way with new and informative posts - both original posts and answers to people's questions.

Hi @PaulPavlinovich, I would like to know:

How can I find the the unanswered questions by a simple search?

BHASI BAHULEYAN
Connect Moderator

Hi @bhasibahuleyan I would recommend reviewing each board in context to find people you can help with. The moderators do use a special feature but that is to make sure that we find all the posts that need to be managed or removed.

Level 10

Hii to All Connect Moderators.

I am curious to know that what are the perks of being a Connect Moderator. Do they get any fixed salary from Google? or their compensation is being paid in different terms??

Former Google Contributor

Hey @NandKK,

This question has been discussed before and we have a whole topic dedicated to the Connect Moderators. You can check it out here - Meet the Connect Moderators. The topic will answer all your questions.

Please consider reading this post before sending me a Private Message - Private Messages and Google Moderators

It's supposed to be Roman - but in fact I just made it up from a church dress and a red sheet from home. 🙂

Hi @NandKK there are two kinds of moderators here, there are Google Moderators who are Google employees. They lead and run the Local Guides program. Then there are Connect Moderators we're volunteers and not paid. We do this as an extension of our normal Local Guides activities because we like to help people.

If you're interested in a job with Google you should visit https://careers.google.com/

Hello! It will be fantastic if I'll can do it in spanish........

see you

Level 10

I appreciate the live call from Google.

And I thank all of the Connect Moderators for the continuing support to Google Moderators

I do believe that most of the Level 5+  LG are contributing continuously to Google Maps and Local Guides Connect

Most of them are friendly and respectful,  keeping real standards.

So it is a Herculean task to the Google Team, trying to find the best from the million.

I wish Google all the success for selecting the real originators

Thank you @TraciC for sharing information

Se was abused and her leg could not be saved so had to be amputated. We adapted her like this a few moths after the operation when she was already okay. Here are some videos of her (you know, every pet master has a pet video list 🙂 She is now a happy dog although we are preparing the future when she might not use her sole leg properly.
