To beat the traffic in Uganda, you have to use a boda boda.
Boda bodas are bicycle or motorcycle taxis in East Africa esp Uganda and you can find them on their several stages on almost every road.
They're very affordable and unlike other taxis, boda bodas work 24/7.
The word boda boda is so popular in Uganda, it was added to the 9th edition of the Oxford English dictionary this year.
They also work as mini school buses, ambulances and as get-away rides by thieves who snatch property from unsuspecting people on the streets.
There are thought to be more than 300,000 boda bodas in Kampala alone.
Boda bodas are known to cause many accidents and these were nabbed by police for careless driving
The other thing is that boda boda operators usually know their areas very well. Even when you don't know the exact location of the place you're going, you just have to name a nearby landmark, building or street and they'll get you there.
Important to note is that you'd agree on the fare before jumping onto a boda boda, otherwise they'll over-charge you after delivery.

Yes @AlMutebi your question is useful. Now a days In our country everybody using individual car. That is the main problem. we have old roads. few years back population is different and now a days population is different. In India government started Metro Projects. we are expecting May be this projects will decrease traffic. It covers all main lines with all facilities like A/c, WiFi, snakes etc. But, in some cities this Metro trains are running some city's under construction.

Metros can really be very helpful especially for big cities like those in India. Happy for you @Ravi_Kiran about the new metros and hopefully our government will one day revive the one we had like 40 years back.
