What is the benefit of being local guide ?

Quite new to this..Well my question is What is the benefit of being local guide ?, i was doing some work for my customers and one day i realize 4 star badge, after few days i again realized i earned some points and not i am about to reach level 5, what actually its going on, and what are benefits. Can i use this 4 star badge somewhere..can i tell someone i am 4 star badge earner of google guide program.

  Welcome to Local Guides Community. You are new and your from India. I'm also from India. And I'm proud level 8 local Guide. There are not any benefits of the levels. But sometimes you can get the perks. You can read about that. Search for benefits. On Google.
