Here in Brazil yakisoba is still the most famous, but lamen houses is spreading all over the city, at least here in Sao Paulo.

Sadly I didnt see this prior to my trip to Tokyo last week. I do love Soba and i would love to have more of a chance to get into the different types. I am also a huge fan of the cold soba noodles, which is not normal for westerners to eat them as such.

The gluten-free soba exist. Juwari-Soba(十割そば) is used 100% buckwheat flour, and buckwheat flour does not contain gluten. So, Juwari-Soba is one of the famous gluten-free foods in Japan. If you try to eat Juwari-Soba, I recommend a Juwari-Soba specialty shop because a restaurant that is providing Juwari and another soba together is not safe for you. Try to search it:-)
