These are some few terms that I find useful for local guides who are new on this platform.
Badges |
Badges are recognitions that you will receive for reaching different levels by contributing on google maps. These badges may lead to some benefits - Perks.

Connect Moderator |
"Connect Moderators will join Google moderators and help in making Connect a warm, welcoming and educational place for fellow Local Guides. " link

Kudos |
Kudos is a heart shaped button that you can click below a post on Connect (Eg. similar to a like button on facebook). It is one way of telling people that you have liked their post. |
Macro |
A Macro is a simpler representation of repeatedly used content (eg. replies). It will save your time from writing same thing repeatedly.

Perk |
Perk is a reward given to local guides who contribute on Google maps.

@ZekariasT Another one you could add is:
POI (point of interest): a place on the map; this can be all sorts of things like a business, a monument, a bus stop, etc
and another abbreviation:
LGCTW: local guides clean the world
