Sesame candy and Date palm fruits

Sesame is consumed in many different ways..

One of the way we enjoy sesame in Northern part of Nigeria is to make this candy called "Ridi" in the local dialect.

Its sweet, delicious and nutritious...

Recipe

1. Sesame seed  2 cups

2. Table sugar  1/2 cup

3. Honey 3 spoons

How to make 

put frying pan on low fire for like 2 to 3 minutes to heat.

Put the sesame on the pan and keep turning for 5 to 8 minutes. Then bring it off the fire.

On another pan put small water on low fire and pour the sugar in it.

Keep turning till the sugar melted completely and start becoming sticky.

Pour the sesame on the melted sugar and stir until well mixed.

Put the 3 spoons of honey and turn of the fire.

Mixed it well and pour it out on a plate to cool.

After cooling for about 30 minutes then cut it to the size and shape you want..

Then serve.
