Questions about LGC (New LG from Hong Kong)

Hi Everyone!  This is Mabo from Hong Kong

I'm new to the LGC, I have some questions and hope someone can help

I saw the post about 2016 LG challenge.  Unluckily, I can't join because I don't know LGC at that moment but i can't wait for 2017!

1) Anyone knows when will start the 2017 LG challenge?

I tried to find any nice articles and great to find "Travel and Advice" section which can help me plan anther trip and I love to share my travel experiences too.

2)Does anyone knows will we got limited storage if we upload photos?

I saw someone share really nice articles, I tried to visit her/his page but I cannot find the specific page which contains all articles posted by that person.  

3) Anyone knows the way to find it? Or LG admins can consider adding this function in the personal page?

I tried to search specific author or LG in top right field "Search the community" but not able to find the right user

4)Is it my own problem? Can Someone help?????

5) How can I edit my name in LGC platform?

One last question, 

I Love to meet more Hong Kong's LG and arrange or join the event for Hong Kong area!

Welcome to LG and to Connect Forum.  I am glad to meet you here.

I am trying to recall from what I have read so far:

1.  Details for LG Challenge 2017 are not announced yet.

Yes, Travel and Advice is a great board for LGs around the world to exchange latest information regarding travels.

You can also find great articles from Our Google Moderators at  About Local Guides and Using the Forums .  Those will help you quickly settle into the LG program and the Connect Forum here.

2.  For Uploading Photos to Maps, it depends how you are doing it.  Normally, if you choose a photo from a local folder and upload directly to Maps, it will not consume your Drive Space.

3.  Do you mean Connect posts by a particular member?  If yes, you can use this link to look for recent articles posted by a particular:

4.    The Search function at Connect Forum is not exactly comparable with Google Search.  It will take time to learn by trial & error.  Up to now, I don't have much secret tips to share with you, sadly!

5.  Our Screen Name in Connect Forum is "caculated" from our Google Profile Name.  We cannot change it at Connect at the moment.

Please check and post at Let's Meet-Up!, and we have a new LG Meet-up site https://maps.google.com/localguides/meetup .  LGs will usually try to got a Meet-up listed in the Meet-up site.
