Travelled to Negros Occidental Philippines for their Pinta Flores festival in San Carlos City. This one of the local festivity in the country held last November 5, 2018.
As what I have research, its a festival that tells about a story of a princess on the island that got sick and a shaman ordered the people to plant beautiful and sweet smelling flowers, but the weather in the island is not good for growing flowers so the people painted flowers on their bodys instead then the princess was cured. Pinta means paint and flores means flower. So now people in the island are dancing on the streets wearing colorful costumes and painted their bodys of flowers. I enjoyed watching each groups doing their performance, they're like flowers that smiles under the sun. Everyone on the street that are watching also dances along with the music thats on their local dialect.
