@aashishvanand I wonder if anyone has found guidelines for video yet? I am sure they have many filters to prevent spam or wrong content with video. I looked at the first link you posted and the video does not show now on the desk top. So maybe they took it down. They have the technology on youtube so they could certainly use it here on google maps.

@davidcox I have seen quite a lot of spam images in maps. Some interesting finds were photos of Taj Mahal on an ATM in South India. I don't think the current model which Google is decent enough detect spam from the actual content. I usually report those image to improve the overall experience of the maps.
Some examples which I found today: https://goo.gl/maps/MX7ATeGQdc52 The image is totally irrelevant to the place. The previous example also Call Taxi example (https://goo.gl/maps/d9TGA8srUw52) in spite of verifying it locally and reporting the place isn't taken down still.
Similarly, this local guide <CONTRIBUTIONS PROFILE REMOVED> has uploaded his photos shot in Mahabalipuram Beach (https://goo.gl/maps/z8V8zepFfXx) in a park inside Chennai city (https://goo.gl/maps/ZsowgrfKUqQ2) which is too absurd.

Hi @aashishvanand. I have edited your post to remove the link to another Local Guide's Maps profile for various privacy reasons. How Do I Report Content on Google Maps? contains information on how you can report contributions or users/Local Guides who do not adhere to Google Maps’ policies or Local Guides’ Community Guidelines. In the meantime, the team is looking into the Local Guide you reported but we are unable to share results of our investigation.

@JeslynL Thanks for considering this serious. I will make sure to report personally those I find spamming to a google moderator instead of tagging the profile publically.

@AjitW wrote:Hi All Local Guides,
Yesterday I updated my Google Maps. There were two new options to contribute and gain points in Google maps. One is Q & A, if replied to a question, you would get 3 points.
And Second option is Video. Will anybody give info about the points per video, duration and quality of the video to be uploaded?
