The Mont-Saint-Michel is one of Europe’s most unforgettable sights. Set in the mesmerising bay where Normandy and Brittany merge, the island draws the eye from great distances.
In 1979, Mont Saint-Michel and its bay were listed as World Heritage Sites by UNESCO.
In 708 AD, Aubert, the bishop of Avranches, met with the archangel Michael, so he built a small church on the highest point of the island.
Dedicated to the Archangel Michael, also the origin of the name of St. Michael.

Hi @Bonjourtaiwan,
I was waiting quite eagerly for a post regarding your European adventures.
How did you reach Mont Saint Michel and how many days you spent there? Is it connected well by public transports or you advise to rent a car to reach and enjoy the place at it's best?

Farid.

Hi @Bonjourtaiwan,
Amazing photos! This location is like something out of a fairy tale.
Do you know if there are any permanent residents there, or it's mostly restaurants and souvenir shops for the visitors?
I wonder what the life on an island like that would be like! 🙂

Ciao @Sorbe
I participated in Paris local travel agency's two-day castle tour. By bus, there are also guides to introduce the sights, which saves me time and money.

Dear @DeniGu
Thanks your comments.
I am not sure there are permanent residents, but there are some old houses nearby.
