Following this official thread from @TraciC that yesterday defined the guidelines for images in Connect, and having crossed the 1000 photos limit in Connect since months, I want to share some tricks I use to be more effective in helping users in Connect and share my photos.
1) I use a Chrome extension called "Explain and send screenshots", this replaces the keyboard shortcuts for taking snapshots, and add note and edit capabilities; after editing, uploads the image on the cloud and release an image (not a folder) link for direct embed in connect
2) I use imgur.com free hosting for uploading my photos; give out direct image link for embedding here in connect
3) I use Google Photos for uploading several images, and if you Right-click on an open photo you can get a link you can embed here in connect
4) Being an SVT photographer I can embed panoramas directly into Connect
5) I added a Macro for adding the html code for insert image:
<p><img src="xxxxxx" border="0"></p>
Someone knows the keyboard shortcut to recall macros? Sometimes happen to recall a macro, but I suspect happens before the full code of the post is loaded.
Hope it helps!

Thank you for these usefull informations 🙂
"Explain and send screenshots" link does not work (blank page) ?
About imgur can you just store photos with a kind of private profile or all images you upload are public ?
Thank you 😉
Hi @BoyScout please, try again, works for me!
Imgur default privacy is private, but you can share links 😉

Hello @LucioV,
Thanks for your post. To borrow from previous internal opinions on workarounds - while they do fix a short-term problem it could bring issues into Connect in the future.
For example, potential updates to Connect might not take on posts in which a workaround was used and this could open up the possibility of additional bugs. That said we do want everybody to be able to post photos freely and at this time, I have not heard anything in the community about running up their limits until the threads you created so for now it is definitely a non-issue. Thank you for sharing your tips!

Thank you! Only @ErmesT hit the ceiling before me 🙂
But I'm not sure to understand, some of my tips can disrupt Connect?

I also use imgur as well. Before in my scene teen days (yes I was one of those long-haired kids who listened to screamo all day) I used to use Photobucket, but I think they're made too many "improvements" to such that... wait where was I going with this?
Although the photos themselves no longer are individually subject to being kudoed, collectively these photos are great. I don't know who would be using high-quality photos on Local Guides Connect, but I don't think the full quality photo (unless it was an infographic) should be there. In addition, the 3022kb limit feels kind of miniscule, especially in an ever-increasing digitalised world of quality, then again what is the point of super-high quality photos again if this isn't a lightroom or exhibition?
Also, did you know that you can view all the photos that have been uploaded onto Local Guides Connect for it's entire history? From there, you will be able to see the entire smorgasbord of photos uploaded by all users. And I really mean, the entire smorgasbord.

Yes! I know about this whole album! But is not easy to navigate in my photos and delete the older one!!
