Misuse by Owner showing still existing for closed business

Would like to pin point an issue of misuse by Business Owner who is showing the business still existing although it was closed more than 3 years ago. My constant effort to  show it closed had no effect making me frustrated.Even the reviews shows it and guest wasted time  thinking it exist and visited because of wrong information.Pl refer an experience.

.First the address is wrong. It seems the owner showing it existing just for advertisement or publicity. But it must not be at the expense of the guests who have been suffering and Google Maps cannot help in spite of knowing the truth.that it is no more..

Fed up being no alternative i use to show it removed so many times which was  responded as Pending and finally Not Applied, and the process going on.

It seemed to be an irony that i was instructed to attach a photo as the proof of removing .it without its existence.Unfortunately it is shown as a proof and shown confusing with result pending. Please look in to the matter which is really closed .

Re: Misuse by Owner showing still existing for closed business

@jojo522 Local Guides suggests edits which then filtered and vetted by Google for confidence of approval. There is a balance of making edits too simple or too hard for approval and a proper balance is needed so spam edits can be managed whilst real edits can be approved. There are circumstances where the system really cannot differentiate easily between both, so sometimes edits arenot applied.

The thing to note is that when a business is claimed and verified in Google My Business, it tips the balance to the "much harder to be approved" by a suggested edit, since the edits would go to the business owner for approval first. And the best way to resolve these issues is to go to Google My Business route.

For claimed businesses that we confidently know are fake or spam or wrong, please report it directly to the Google My Business forum under "Spam and Policy". Click on the link below, and then click on spam and policy and create a report there. This should be handled through GMB.

I will suggest when you write a post in GMB forum to be directly to the point. For example below but edit it to reflect the actual situation.

"This business xxx at location http://yyyy has been closed for more than zzzz. I have verified it myself because I visit there often and the business does not exists there. And refer to other reviews in Maps also. The business owner continue to wrongly portray the business as open but it is not. This is clearly a spam business location. Please remove this business from Maps"

Something like that would suffice and it's easy to understand.
