This is amazing @HiroyukiTakisawa! Congratulations on your first Street View path 🙂

I would love to make a helmet like this, I will try it soon and let you know how it goes. Your post and the video by @IlankovanT are super helpful 🙂

Re: Making a 360-degree camera mounted helmet

Hi @HiroyukiTakisawa - Thanks so much for this! I have one question that's related to taking photos/videos in Japan. When you're doing your street view video, do you have to ask permission first? If my understanding is correct, Japan is quite strict regarding taking photos, and particularly videos in public spaces. I'm thinking of doing some 360 photos/videos as well during my transit in Tokyo next month, so I figure I'll ask for confirmation first 🙂

Re: Making a 360-degree camera mounted helmet

What a nice Tutorial @HiroyukiTakisawa San

I am making almost the same gear. I am also trying to put an OLD DVD (with Google Local Guides Sticker on it) just underneath the camera, that way, the field of view will cover the Google Local guide sticker and will hopefully get rid of the helmet part.

I have also tested that if we mount the camera a little higher and put a disk underneath it, it gives a very clean round patch.

I am going to compile a post soon and will post the pictures of my gear

🙂
