You need to trial and error to find out the optimal total width, using mobile and Desktop Browser to find a balance.

Start with writing a post or reply.
Complete what you want your Sig to be using the Richtext editor. Including the links to want.
Use preview to make sure it is working.
( Start with one link to make it simple)
Goto the HTML editor, to copy the HTML code.
Goto Your Sig editor, and paste the codes into it.
