If you're out filling in missing information on maps, stop and make conversation with the workers and owners of those locations. This gives you a chance to get some inside information on the business that can give you the edge for those of you point lovers. I was caught taking pictures of the outside of Bryant's Barber Shop and the owners thought I was interested in the empty shop adjacent to theirs. This led to a 15 minute conversation that scored me more pictures, a schedule update, a menu change, and I got to meet some nice folks.
If you ask owners if they would like some free advertising, you'll often get more than just a smile and a thank you.
